ߣߣÊÓÆµ Middletown Rising Scholarship

The ߣߣÊÓÆµ Middletown Rising scholarship supports the retention and graduation of ߣߣÊÓÆµ University Regionals students. Its aim is to increase access to higher education, improve workforce development, and positively impact economic development in the city of Middletown. 

The ߣߣÊÓÆµ Middletown Rising Scholarship covers the cost of tuition and fees after financial aid for eligible students. The scholarship will be available for up to eight-consecutive semesters during fall and spring semester classes.

Eligibility

  • First-time, new undergraduate student enrolling at Regionals full-time (12 credit hours or more) following high school graduation.
  • Lived (has a primary, permanent address) in the during all four years of high school.
  • Graduated from, and attended all four years at, Marshall High School in Middletown, Middletown High School, Middletown Christian High School, Bishop Fenwick High School, or Butler Tech from Middletown City School District.
    • GED recipients and homeschoolers do not qualify.
    • Early high school graduates qualify in the fall semester following graduation.
  • Cumulative high school GPA of 2.5+ (unweighted).
  • Must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and be eligible for the Pell Grant as determined by the FAFSA.

Application Process

  • Complete and submit the ߣߣÊÓÆµ Regionals Admission Application by April 1, 2025.
  • Submit your official high school transcript.
  • A separate scholarship application and ACT/SAT scores are not required.
    • Please note that submitting ACT/SAT scores could qualify you for additional scholarship opportunities.

Scholarship Renewal Requirements

  • The scholarship may be renewed for up to eight consecutive semesters.
  • Full-time enrollment (12 credit hours or more) as a ߣߣÊÓÆµ Regionals student each semester.
  • Students may take courses towards their degree in Oxford, but 51% of courses each semester must be taken at Regionals campuses to maintain eligibility.
  • Maintain an annual cumulative ߣߣÊÓÆµ GPA of 2.0+.
  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and be eligible for the Pell Grant as determined by the FAFSA annually.
  • Maintain a primary residence in the approved city limits.

Beyond celebrating each new cohort of scholarship recipients with an awards ceremony, ߣߣÊÓÆµ Regionals will provide holistic support from day one to graduation. 

To help them reach their goals, ߣߣÊÓÆµ Regionals connects program participants to campus resources like TRIO student support services, academic advising, career services, counseling, tutoring, and much more.
