Lee Armstrong joins ߣߣÊÓƵ as Director of Education Abroad

Lee Armstrong has been named Director of Education Abroad at ߣߣÊÓƵ University.

Armstrong comes to ߣߣÊÓƵ from the University of Cincinnati, where she has worked for more than two decades in education abroad programming for the Carl H. Lindner College of Business. The Lindner College of Business consistently sends the most students abroad across UC's colleges.

Developing impactful international experiences is Armstrong’s passion. “I have worked in the field of international education for 25 years and continue to adapt and innovate study abroad programming to entice college students to study abroad and experience the world,” she said.

Armstrong speaks fluent Spanish, is a qualified administrator for the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI), and has been an adjunct instructor for Cultural Competence and Global Business Environment courses.

The ߣߣÊÓƵ University Director of Education Abroad provides overall institutional leadership for the administration and management of study abroad, study away, and related travel programs. The Director collaborates to coordinate critical support and direction related to study abroad and study away programs, across all institutional and academic divisions.

“We are looking forward to welcoming Lee into Global Initiatives,” said Cheryl Young, Associate Vice President for Global Initiatives. “She comes to us with a strong background in education abroad and will work toward an innovative strategy that aligns with ߣߣÊÓƵ THRIVE, builds on our robust faculty engagement, addresses global challenges, and creates high-quality, meaningful experiences for our students.”

A graduate of ߣߣÊÓƵ University and an alumna of the ߣߣÊÓƵ University Dolibois European Center (MUDEC), Armstrong is looking forward to returning to Oxford and ߣߣÊÓƵ University.

Armstrong earned a bachelor’s degree from ߣߣÊÓƵ University and a master’s degree from the School for International Training.
