Education Abroad Internships
In recent studies of employer recruitment preferences, global internships are shown to be highly valued for providing real-world experiences for students. Internships help students to develop the NACE (National Association of Colleges and Employers) Career Competencies that employers seek from their 21st-century workforce.
International internships are usually unpaid and can be taken for academic credit or for no credit. Stand-alone internships generally take place during the summer and can be taken for 6, 8 and 12-week blocks. Students can also complete a semester-long stand-alone internship. Additionally, semester-long study and intern hybrid programs are also available through certain providers.
We work with students in partnership with the Center for Career Exploration and Success (CCES) to facilitate international internships. Find more information about internships in general on the CCES website.
Consider an internship abroad to maximize your education abroad investment. The CCES offers internship and research grants for international experiences up to $5000!
Some ߣߣÊÓƵ tuition-paying programs offer an internship component included with their academic credit. These programs are offered through studying abroad, outside of the United States, or studying away, within the United States but outside of Oxford.
